Speed Networking

In partnership with Engineers NS WiE, we held a speed networking event on March 9th, 2023. The participants were able to network with professionals in industry and ask for advice as they move forward with their careers.

 

Soap Making Event

In partnership with the MakerSpace, WiE held a soap making event on February 8. Participants were able to make their own Valentines Day themed soap and bath bombs to take home after the event!

December 6 REMEMBRANCE & Resilience Ceremony

Each year, WIE presents a remembrance ceremony of Montreal Massacre where 13 female engineering students were murdered on the campus of École Polytechnique. 2019 marks 30 years since the tragedy. The ceremony commemorates the loss and conveys a message of perseverance and resilience of women in STEM.

 

Annual go eng girl 2022

On November 26th, our society held our annual Go Eng Girl event. The event is intended for female-identifying students in grades 7-12. Participants had the opportunity to compete in design competitions and listen to Dalhousie women in engineering talk about their experience in the program.

IDEA Speaker Series

IDEA Speaker Series hosted by Emera IDEAHub showcases Atlantic Canada’s top innovators. Coat check fundraiser at the venue is run by WIE volunteers. For the inaugural Speaker Series event, three WIE student leaders were invited as interviewers.

 

Sexton Street Naming Ceremony
